Trip Description: This Mother’s Day Weekend, come spend some quality time with the person you consider to be your mom or your daughter. The trip will gather in Arlington, VA on Friday, May 10th at 3:00PM to pack and drive to the trailhead. We will return to Durham at 3:00PM on Sunday, April 7th. This trip is ideal for women who are curious to try backpacking or who enjoy backpacking but want to do so with a group rather than alone. Our reflection theme for the weekend will be about connecting across generations and of course…about mothers. As always, all essential gear is available for borrowing, and scholarships are available upon request.
*Fun fact: the background image for this trip is a picture of me and my mom on Mother’s Day 2016. She came and found me on the Appalachian Trail 🙂
